Target group

APSIP (Answer Presentation Skill Improvement Programme) is a weekly guidance programme for all those candidates who have appeared in the preliminary test and have been cleared by Ensemble for participation in APSIP.

Aim:

The programme seeks to correct the flaws in the candidates concept and writing ability at the last stage before the Mains examination, so that the candidates go on to maximise their gains from the examination with the minimum of effort. The programme seeks to meet its aim by regular meetings and tests, discussion and evaluation of tests for developing their best presentation techniques. To help create a big difference between APSIP's student and other candidates by equipping them to handle all types of questions that could be possibly asked from Geography optional in the Civil Services Mains examination, effortlessly.

Key feature of the course

  1. Developing proper understanding of questions that are in true UPSC nature.
  2. APSIP seeks to improve the answer presentation capability of the candidate for the Mains.
  3. The tests are followed by one hour of intensive discussion of the questions followed in turn by their evaluation and feedback
  4. Discussion of the important questions strictly from the 2018 Mains examination viewpoint.
  5. Answer writing practice, development of writing style strictly demanded by UPSC, evaluation with feedback on the same lines as demanded of Civil Servants.
  6. Problem solving of the candidates at an individual level and model long answers and short notes of the most important topics.
  7. Establishment of Relevant interrelationship at interdisciplinary and intradisciplinary nature.

Components

  1. Strictly on the lines of UPSC directions.
  2. Answer papers checked not by students, but by people involved with checking the answer papers, and with 10-15 years of experience.
  3. 10 tests on the lines of UPSC.
  4. Model framework, structure and answers, whatever that is requires of the answers
  5. Test discussion in face to face form or video form.
  6. Model answers on the chosen topics.

MODUS OPERANDI

  1. Student can log in to ensemble.net.in to get themselves registerd mentioning whether they want to go for offline or online course.
  2. Every candidate has to enroll and register themselves on for off line and online.
  3. The candidate will get his/her access and password.
  4. Once they log in, they will start getting advisories, and materials.
  5. For offline, the candidates will have to take a physical admission as well in the Academy. For online the registration will be sufficient to get admitted through a password. Generated online specifically for them.
  6. Through these sessions the candidates will be guided through various concepts and ideas that form the programme.
  7. For online students, the candidates can upload and ask any question and form a set of question, which will be discussed face to face?

PREDEFINED SCHEDULE
The students will be given a schedule, which will be followed diligently to cover the section in comprehensive and holistic manner. The schedule will be having topic wise classes and test at regular basis on pre decided dates.
CONFINED AND LIMITED SOURCE
Whatever the candidates may have studied in the past, the course will minimise their efforts either by pruning what they have studied or by suggesting them what can study now. This will be by the availability of printed books/electronic books or other book/books that they will be suggested.
REGULAR ASSIGNMENTS
There is a provision of deviation away from the test, if so required for any student to direct them to write and compile answers so that they are in a better position to prepare a frame of the answer.
DOUBT CLEARING SESSIONS
We will regularly have a doubt clearing session in the form of, ASK ANYTHING UNDER THE SUN’ with a live discussion session with the candidates, both online and offline students.
WHAT WILL BE THE IMPACT OF THE COURSE
By doing this course you will finish the entire Geography syllabus in in comprehensive and holistic manner and have lot of test practice. There will be 10 tests that will be conducted.
What the students will get?

  1. 10 revision tests
  2. 1 final test for World and 1 final test for India.
  3. An Interactive online problem solution session if desired by the students.
